We believe the 66 books of Bible, the 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New Testament, is the holy and inspired Word of God. We believe the Holy Spirit spoke through the authors of Scripture as they wrote. Since the Scriptures are divinely inspired by God, we believe in the inerrancy and the infallibility of the Scriptures as they were originally given to man. We believe Scripture is sufficient for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training the saints in all righteousness. We believe the Holy Scriptures is the final rule for Christian faith and practice.
Deuteronomy 4:2, Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Revelation 22:18-19
We believe there is one eternal and sovereign God who has created all things for His purposes and His glory. We believe God to be holy and perfect in all of His attributes. We believe God eternally exists in three divine Persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Psalm 18:30, Isaiah 43:7, Isaiah 45:5
We believe God the Father has brought forth all things for His sovereign plan before the foundation of the world so that His glory could be made known. We believe for the sake of His name and His love for the world, the Father sent His one and only begotten Son into the world to save the world through His Son. We believe the Father actively pursues all who belong to Him, drawing them to His Son, Jesus Christ for salvation.
Genesis 1:1-2, John 3:16, John 6:44, 1 Corinthians 8:6
We believe the Son, Jesus Christ eternally exists as God and is co-equal with the Father. We believe the eternal Son of God took on flesh and became a human-being. We believe Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born of a virgin. We believe Jesus fulfilled all the requirements of the Law by living a sinless and perfect life of obedience, and was the only acceptable and sufficient sacrifice to atone for man’s sin. We believe that after Jesus atoned for man’s sin on the cross, He was raised to life on the third day for our justification and for our assurance of eternal life. We believe Jesus ascended into heaven and is seated on His throne, reigning as the Righteous King. We believe Jesus is coming back to judge the nations, to bring salvation to His people and to bring judgment upon His enemies.
Matthew 1:20-23, Matthew 5:17, John 1:1-3;14, John 10:30, Romans 4:25, Colossians 1:15-20, Hebrews 1:1-3
We believe in the personhood and divinity of the Holy Spirit. We believe the Holy Spirit is co-eternal and co-equal with the Father and with the Son. We believe in the regeneration of the Holy Spirit in which man goes from spiritual death to spiritual life. We believe the Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin and leads us to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells in each of us, sanctifies us, and guides us into all truth and righteousness. We believe the Holy Spirit, according to His will, disperses spiritual gifts to each believer, making us effective for Christian duty.
John 3:5-8, John 14:26, John 15:26, John 16:8-14, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7
We believe God created mankind distinctively in His image. As image-bearers of God, all men and women have value in the eyes of God and deserve respect by their fellow man. We believe in a true Adam and Eve who once enjoyed perfect fellowship with God, but fell through disobedience. We believe that the sin of Adam was passed down to all of mankind. We believe we are all born with the curse of original sin, and we have all personally sinned against our holy God. We have all fallen short of God's perfect standards. Left on our own, we stand condemned before our holy God.
Genesis 1:26-27, Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12
We believe that it is by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ that salvation has been made possible to all mankind. We believe that Jesus’ perfect life of obedience qualified Him to be the only perfect and final sacrifice for sin. We believe Jesus Christ took upon Himself the full punishment of our sin on the cross, satisfying the wrath of God against sinners. We believe that Jesus’ resurrection proved that He is truly the Son of God and that His once and for all sacrifice for sin was made acceptable to the Father.
We believe salvation is an act of God's grace, a free gift to all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. We believe that all who repent of their sin and place their faith in Jesus Christ alone will be saved. We believe Jesus Christ is the only hope for sinners, as we believe we are justified by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
John 14:6, Acts 3:19, Acts 4:12, Romans 3:22-25, Romans 10:13, Ephesians 2:8-9, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 3:18
We believe that our sanctification is the will of God for our lives. We believe that when we are justified by God through faith in Jesus, God positionally sanctifies us. God sets us apart from the world and sets us apart to Himself as His own. However, we also believe in the continual sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We believe God continues to grow us and shape us more into the image of Jesus Christ throughout our lifetime. This is what we refer to as progressive sanctification. As we grow in Christ, our desire for sin and the world will weaken, but our love for Christ and righteousness will strengthen.
2 Corinthians 3:18, Galatians 5:16-25, 1 Thessalonians 4:3, Hebrews 10:10
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Head of the church and His Bride. We believe that all who are in Christ make up the one universal church. Individuals who have been born again of the Holy Spirit and believe in Jesus Christ for salvation are all members of the one universal church. We believe that our Savior and King left the church with a mission to go into all the world and make disciples, to baptize them, and to teach them all that Christ has commanded us. However, we believe Jesus has empowered the church with the Holy Spirit to fulfill this mission.
We believe in the necessity of the local church. The local church exists to corporately worship our God and King, to edify one another, and to carry out the Great Commission.
Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:42-47, Ephesians 4:11-13, Hebrews 10:24-25
We believe in a true heaven and a true hell. Heaven is marked by joyful bliss in the presence of our Lord; whereas, hell is marked by conscious torment apart from the love of God. We believe that all people who die in Christ will immediately be with Him in heaven where we will await to receive our eternal and glorified bodies. At the same time, we believe that all people who die in their sin will immediately descend into hell where they will await their final judgment.
Luke 19:-31, Luke 23:43, 2 Corinthians 5:8, Philippians 1:23, Hebrews 9:27
We believe that our God and King, Jesus Christ will physically return to the earth for His church. Although the church has gone through pains and tribulation, we believe in the promise of the new heavens and the new earth that will be ushered in upon the return of King Jesus. We believe Christ will work through His church to complete the Great Commission, and then the end of this current age will come to pass.
We believe all believers will be resurrected unto life everlasting. All believers will receive their glorified bodies and be with Christ forever in the new heavens and the new earth. We believe that all unbelievers will be resurrected unto eternal damnation. All unbelievers will stand condemned before Christ and will be cast into the eternal lake of fire.
We believe Satan's work and influence in the world will come to an end upon the return of the King. Although Satan already stands defeated by Christ, his fate will be brought to completion at the return of Jesus Christ, in which our King will cast Satan and the rest of his minions into the lake of fire.
Matthew 25:31-46, 1 Corinthians 15:51-57, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 20:7-15, Revelation 21:1-7
Life
We believe God is the Author of life who creates human-beings in their mother’s womb. We believe all children from the moment of conception are fellow image-bearers of God whose lives must be protected until natural death. We believe intentionally ending the life of a child in the womb is murder. We are unequivocally against abortion, and we will do all that we can to advocate for the rights and the dignity of all preborn. We believe equal protection under the law must be established for the preborn.
Despite living in a time when abortion is celebrated and women are having abortions with joy in their hearts, there are those who carry the pain and the guilt for going through with an abortion. The good news is that there is a solution for all guilt of sin, including abortion. We believe Jesus Christ alone offers forgiveness and healing to all who have chosen to end the life of a child. The gospel of Jesus Christ frees us from the immense guilt of sin, and He alone offers true and lasting hope for all who come to Him.
Exodus 20:13, Psalm 139:13-14, Jeremiah 1:5
Family and Marriage
We believe marriage was instituted by God and is meant to be a life-long covenant between one man and one woman under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We believe God made male and female to complement one another in marriage and in their service under our Lord. We believe husbands are called to love and serve their wives as Christ loved the church. We believe wives are to respect and submit to their husbands as the church submits to Jesus Christ. We believe fathers are to be the spiritual leaders of the family. We believe mothers are to model Christlike love and service as they care for their children.
Although the culture attempts to redefine marriage, gender, and sexuality, we will continue to abide by the Word of God. We are commanded to be faithful first to God and then to love our neighbor. We believe we can love an individual without condoning their sin.
We believe Jesus Christ can free individuals from the bondage of all kinds of sexual sin and bring them into a saving relationship with Himself. We also believe Jesus can transform the sinful desires of individuals into God-honoring desires. The only hope for all sinners is Jesus Christ.
